How much does it cost?
The first lesson is always free! During this free lesson we will get to know each other a bit, evaluate your goals as a student and give you a quick beginner's lesson. Then if you decide to continue, it is just $25 for 50 minutes. We charge on a monthly basis, so that's just $100/month.
Where will we meet?
That's completely up to you! My house is available, or I could come to your house as well. If you have a 3rd location you'd prefer, then I'm all about it! However, I would charge an extra $5 if it's a bit of a drive for me.
What will the lessons consist of?
The lesson will usually begin with a 5 minute review of what we learned the previous week and for the student to show the progress he/she has made. Then typically I will teach for about 15-20 minutes on that certain lesson (music theory, chords, scales, songs, etc). After this the student and I will put into practice what was taught for 15 minutes. The last 5 minutes or so we will discuss "homework" and I will usually ask how I can be praying for the student this week.
Will I need my own guitar?
At this moment I cannot teach the student if they do not own a guitar. I can make recommendations of affordable options for students to buy a guitar.
I know how to play, but want to learn new things. Can you teach me intermediate or expert guitar lessons?
Even though I've been playing guitar for over 10 years, I don't know everything. I would have to evaluate your skill level, which is something we would do at our first free lesson, then give you a more precise answer to this question.
Why should I choose you as my teacher?
I can offer a fun and safe atmosphere for learning a new skill. It is often extremely intimidating to learn something new and I am patient and willing to teach anybody how to play guitar from little kids to older adults. I don't see the people I teach as projects or as a lesson to get through. I genuinely enjoy building friendships with people and watching them grow!

Do you offer any other services?
I have some experience with recording music. If a student wants to record a song he/she wrote, I can make that happen. We would have to discuss separate charges for this service. I can also offer some light maintenance for guitars, teach basics of songwriting, etc.
