This copper tea kettle is hand hammered and uses dovetailed seams. Gooseneck spout with hinged lid. Besides the family provenance listed below, you can tell this is Swedish as evidenced by the ribbon finial on the lid representing the Swedish crown. It has developed a great patina over its lifetime and is slightly caked with sediment on the inside.
This copper kettle and sauce pan with lid were purchased by my mother in xxxx. These were brought over from Sweden in xxxx.
It measures approx 8-1/2" in diameter and 10-1/2" with spout. It stands 9" high to top of lid. 10" high with handle up. Total weight is 2.9 lbs.

Helma Tomasene Olson died Aug. 10th xxxx at age 93. This first name could be Hilma.
Note-I bought these --A copper tea kettle with a little lid over the spout from Cal's Books and Wares in Portland in xxxx. They had been sold to him by someone in the family who had put the note in with them. There is also a rather large copper pot that I also got. It has a flat type lid with a long handle and has a large mend in the bottom which must have been done in the "Old County".
